Built by People Who Care Deeply

Not just engineers. Not just clinicians. A team who refused to accept the status quo.

TapTalk AAC was built by an interdisciplinary team of speech and language therapists, software engineers, occupational therapists, NCSE-experienced educators, and parents of non-verbal children. This is not a Silicon Valley startup that discovered AAC last quarter. This is a team with lived experience, clinical credentials, and engineering excellence.

"A Formula 1 car designed only by aerodynamicists crashes in the first corner. A car designed only by drivers never reaches top speed. TapTalk AAC was built by the full team โ€” clinicians who know what communication looks like, and engineers who know how to scale it."

Clinical Leadership

IASLT-registered SLTs with specialist AAC competency, OTs trained in assistive technology prescription, and psychologists with ASD assessment experience. They define our clinical protocols and validate every feature we ship.

⚙️

Engineering

Our engineers built TapTalk AAC on React 18 with PHP 8.3, SQLite/PostgreSQL, and Cloudflare edge. Every line of code is reviewed against WCAG 2.2 AA. We do not ship features that are not accessible.

🏫

Education Specialists

Former SENCOs, SNA coordinators, and NCSE-experienced educators who understand the Irish school system from the inside out. They wrote our AT Grant application templates and know every SENO process in the country.

🤝 Join Our Team

We are always looking for exceptional people who share our mission โ€” SLTs wanting to work with the most advanced AAC platform in Ireland, React engineers passionate about accessibility, or educators with NCSE experience.
